and if the shipping were to go the lower CA coast, why not just unload @ LA or Long Beach ?
plus the southern control of the canal would be under Mexico and they do things so fricking well as is
plus the Locks to get over the elevations would cost more than all another construction project in the history of the world combined

Pretty sure it's not even possible with today's technology. If it were possible, it'd be the most expensive thing probably ever created in human history.
There are parts of Coronado National Forest that are more than 10,000 feet high.

Neither a canal or wall would be all that effective. We need more border guards, more surveillance tech, and most importantly go after those that employ illegals here so that it does away w the incentive for them to come.

Mexico can share the cost. They also can share in the income generated by tolls. I’m sure there will be a lot of people saying it can’t be done. However, those same type of people have existed to thwart major projects since the beginning of time. Hell, someone probably opposed the wheel.

and yalls dimensions are extremely far off. 180 feet wide? How do you expect 1000ft ships to turn around?
It would need to be 1500 ft wide minimum.
The cost would be in the trillions and the upkeep would be almost impossible to calculate

There is a big arse wall that they climb over, or at times walk through, all the time. To me it would cost less to just actually patrol the border. A wall won’t do much of anything.

I’ve always been a proponent of national guard training at the border. One weekend a month and two weeks a year...wouldn’t cost us anything more than what we’re paying now.
