I think it’s more people knowing the media is going to run wild with this story while other recent mass shootings done by black people of late have been pretty mute in coverage. I don’t think anyone is supporting this dbag

Completely agree, but in this situation the cops are damned either way.
If they kill him and he's surrendering, they will be criticized because he won't face punishment. If they take him alive, they'll be told they are racist and didn't kill him because he's white.
I believe I have a reasonable view of justice and am glad he was taken alive because his days in prison will be absolutely hell, as he deserves. That is how the justice system is supposed to work.
