I gotta side with the SJWs here. Drinking and removing no from your vocabulary? There's a pretty obvious rapey vibe to that. Definitely one of the first connections my mind makes.

Only a moron couldn't see there would be trouble with this slogan. And since the ad and marketing industries breed stupidity, it's no surprise the slogan made it on to cans of beer.

two things:

1) that does sound kinda rapey
2) if that's the message then match it to a stronger product. sounds like a good fit for night train or jagermeister.

frick Bud Light for bowing down to pressure from these pussy arse SJW's. If I even drank bud light, after reading this they would "lose my dollars".

I think they were aiming more for the redneck contingent.

"You can't jump off that roof into the above ground trashy pool!"

Miller Light Response: No you're right.

Bid Light Response: Hold my bud light. Watch this.

It's only rapey if you have an inherent rape gene. Stop projecting your rape vibe on me, that's emotional rape of my mind.

Like the people in this thread that are whining worse than "SJW's" because now they are mad that Bud Light isn't using the slogan that they never even cared about to begin with.

"Hey, Zack, which beers have the roofies in them?"

"The Bud Lights."

"There are 3 cases in here."

"The ones with the rape slogan on them."

"Got it."

I'm sure Bud wasn't alluding to rape, but this would certainly be a nice side effect for rapey dudes.

Would certainly make things a lot easier for trillhog

Agreed

It's really just kind of a ill-advised slogan all together, not just in the context of rape. It's almost like they're saying "Bud Light, the perfect beer to get you drunk enough to remove the capacity for rational decision making."

"Hey, wanna jump off this bridge?" "No"

(after a few BL's) "Hey, wanna jump off this bridge?" "Hell yes!!!"

"Hey, wanna drive up to Baltimore and riot?" "Absolutely not"

(after a few BL's) "Hey, wanna drive up to Baltimore and riot?" "Hold on, I'll get some bricks!!"

1. I hate Bud Light. It's such a shitty beer they have to spend billions ever year to convince people to drink it.

2. This whole "Up for Whatever" campaign is fricking terrible.

3. Whoever came up with and approved this language on the bottle should be fired.

Conclusion - InBev is a terrible company and I will never suffer any of their swill to pass my lips for the rest of my life. Even those they try to trick you into believing is a craft beer through misleading labeling.

this is the most justifiable reason ive seen for them to be upset.

It's stupid but it makes sense at least.

Not like the mexican food served during independence day thing or whatever.
