I never understood people fascination with Buccees. Are the bathrooms really that nice?

So if they secured a location in Lafayette does it mean the BR location on Millerville is back on?

No it means Bucees is a POS company that left the area because of the flooding even though the location didn't flood and tried to blame it on LA politicians instead.

The site where the gas station would be didn't flood but the surrounding area did.
As a result, you'll have less people living in the area. Those living there will have less economic stability with loans, etc...Those that are living there will have properties worth 20% less.
If it was built now, they would have a lot more pass thru traffic that's for sure with construction workers, etc...
But if their estimates were on the edge before and now with the flood, they will be certainly less. It would not be profitable for them in the long term.

The majority of the surrounding neighborhoods that border the development did not flood
To say people aren't living there is highly inaccurate.

Yeah I get that, but they should have admitted to it into of lying and trying to blame politicians.

Bucees is still coming to LA just not initially where it was planned. Mr. "Beaver" just purchased land in Lafayette at I10 and Louisiana Ave somewhere around the new Target and Academy.
