I much prefer to eat light on the road than heavy, greasy BBQ sandwiches. Fruit, cheese, pasta salad, sandwiches/wraps, chicken salad, boiled eggs, chips, vegetables, dips, hummus.

The best sammich Buc-ee's has to offer is the Signature Club. It's not heavy or greasy and good as anything from Firehouse/Jimmy Johns/Subway for $5.99.

Good locations would be Vinton

Was thinking specifically of Vinton as well. Capitalize on both the casino traffic as well as Louisiana transplants visiting family.

We are getting one in Sevierville, biggest location and by Dollywood, that place is going to print money.

Louisiana is just a shithole and can't have nice things. And before people jump in saying Buc-ees is trashy, it's nicer than most things in Louisiana.

Because it’s Louisiana and someone is trying to get greased to let them open something up?

That has been the case since Huey P Long and continues. The fact we didn't have an interstate that ran North/South until 1988 says a great deal.

The Buc-ee's "frick Louisiana" narrative is even better if you know the history. Arch "Beaver" Aplin III was born and raised in Southeast TX but his grandparents lived in Harrisonburg, LA. There they owned a store called 'Arch Aplin’s Biggest Little Store in Catahoula Parish', where Beaver, on various trips, would beg them to let him run the cash register.

So you can make the argument that he knew waaaaaay early on how crooked our dipshit, inept and greedy politicians here operate.

There is a day coming where a Buccees will sit on the Texas side of where I-10 and 20 cross into Louisiana, as well as one on the Mississippi side of 10/20. It's pretty funny but incredibly sad at the same time.

I’m sure it has nothing to do with the friendly business climate or high taxes.

They didn’t just skip over LA into MS, we’ve had at least one here in Florida for nearly a year now.
