I'm under the impression that Airbus puts about 0.01% of the amount of energy and resources that Boeimg puts into DEI.

Have done a few projects with Boeing long ago that were interesting and well executed. Was curious about the latest mishap after so many issues with the Max, so looked this up.
Both the CEO and COO come from the financial / accounting side off the business. In other words, Boeing's senior most executives are not aviators. There are plenty of well qualified aviator MBA's that understand the massive complexity of aviation manufacturing as well as the economics.
Boeing's two key executives are bean counters.
Every company needs bean counters and I respect them. Running a technology company though IMO requires a grounded understanding of the underlying engineering.
Look at any large O&G company and you'll find very few CEO's that didn't come up through the engineering ranks, starting in the field learning how things really work.
Boeing has lost their way, and need to take a hard look at how they operate their business at the executive level.

When bean counters take over car manufacturing, you can tell immediately. When engineers are in charge, the product tends to be a lot better.

Instead try this. American education system so frikked up by Democrats ….there are not enough Engineers for Boeing to fill their need.

Lol, I’d like to get more details on that…but this happens with Airbus too Baw, if you’d google a bit. Trudeau & Staff had a bigger problem with their a330’s.

Spirit only has Airbus A319, A320 and A321’s. Southwest only has Boeing 737’s.

What was amazing to me is the FAA inspectors overseeing the Max were employed/paid directly by Boeing! FAA allowed a policy of delegation where Boeing could employ full time inspectors to go over menial certs. That program morphed into a monster where those minor inspectors evolved to certify entire aircraft rubber stamping every change
