I bought a grey pair of Bruno Marc shoes about a year ago and I really like them. Price point, comfort, etc. Not crazy about their brown options. Too dark
Any suggestions?

They can be done so long as it's not the awful white sole.

Call me old school but I see them as unprofessional.

Those are like wearing Croc brand dress shoes. Or a Ferrari with a pickup bed. Just find a well-fitting, comfy pair of normal dress shoes, which are perfectly fine for business casual. Why buy twice?
Personally, I'd recommend these, but they just fit me well.

Those are great to wear to your aunt's wedding when you're eight years old. You can play football at the reception while the old folks are getting their drink on. If you're a grown man get yourself some grown man shoes.

Does he really need more money with so many other quality options?

If you have to go to court or are at a business formal event, they are a hard no. Otherwise, professionals wear them in all of the fields I interact with.
Medical, educational, law enforcement, private practice law, and business professional.

These have been my go to shoes this summer. They are Johnston and Murphy's and very comfortable.

While agree on not liking the white soles, plenty of dudes on tv that would kick your arse wear these.
And I would prefer a dress shoe without a fricking rock hard sole.

There are "men" on TV wearing dresses too. I'm not gonna go out and buy a dress anytime soon.
