A $750 million defamation lawsuit filed against CBS by the brother of JonBenet Ramsey has been settled.

quote:

The Daily Camera reports court records show that a Michigan Circuit Court judge on Wednesday dismissed the lawsuit filed by Burke Ramsey in December 2016.

The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed. The lawsuit said that Burke Ramsey's reputation was ruined after a television series suggested he killed his 6-year-old sister more than two decades ago.

Must be nice to be considered a murderer, with logical evidence presented against you, yet you never have to be charged with anything, plus you can sue for millions in a defamation lawsuit.

OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony should try this, as well.

IMO, he's the creep that killed his sister. It's only logical. Either of the parents killing her never really added up to me. The fact that the little shithead already had a history of abusing her by hitting JonBenet with a golf club the year before only increases the likelihood that he did commit this crime.

Dismissed and settled aren't the same thing, as far as I know.

As long as they actually pay him.

If not, he is gonna be constantly having to go back to court and fight getting money which will cost him lots and a company that size can just slow play him out of financially being able to fight it

Though I prefer the theory that one of the parents did it, I agree that they are all guilty either of the murder or the cover up.

When a settlement is reached, a dismissal is entered.

Yep. The show actually presented a very strong case for this. There are a handful of clues, too. Such as the pineapple eaten in the kitchen showing the girl had gotten up after they got back home from the family friend's house. This shows a case where JonBenet and the brother were together late that night.
She had marks on her that matched to his toy train set's rails.
Like I mentioned before, he had beat her with a golf club the year before, showing he has temper issues.
On the 911 call, where Patsy had quit talking with the operator, some talking can be heard in the background coming from the Ramsey house, where some have suggested they could here the parents screaming at him saying something to the fact of "now look what you have done" or something like that.
He was whisked away to a friend's house quickly before the cops arrived and he was never allowed to talk with police, until much later.

No SOL on murder. Would be pretty balsy to file a defamation suit if you were guilty.

Like probably a great deal of juvenile fratricide cases, maybe even a majority of them.
