And by all accounts so far, they did nothing wrong. If they had, the Obama/Lynch DoJ would've liked nothing better than to hang them out to dry.

This is the point that is plain as day.

And will not be mentioned by anyone in the media, much less by any other "community leader", official or otherwise.

Re the comment bout blacks flooding the PD with applications, this came up before, several yrs ago in a Q&A with Kip. He said the problem was/is that many cann't pass the physical requirements, legal background checks, and do not have the required level of education. Read into that as you choose. But, then, too, why in the recent issue of Business Report, did employer after employer, construction, landscaping , agriculture, etc keep repeating the same mantra: "we cann't get Americans to do the work so we have to rely on immigrants " ? Point being, in both cases, the work is there, the pay above minimum wage, yet "Americans" won't do the work.

Mayor Brooke's latest comment

quote:

Mayor Broome told an audience at the Greater Beach Grove Baptist Church that she's heard rumors a decision by the Department of Justice on the Alton Sterling shooting is imminent.

quote:

“I believe that the citizens of this community want Baton Rouge to be a safe place for everyone to live and continue to live and so, I am not anticipating anything but peaceful protests no matter what side the decision comes down on,” Broome told reporters after the event.

quote:

Weston Broome says she's in constant talks with the Governor's office and law enforcement about how to handle the community's reaction.

My issue with her statement is that everyone in Baton Rouge knows that there will only be protests if the officers are cleared of any wrongdoing, which is what is rumored to be the case. Does she really think that white people will protest, riot, or destroy property if these men are found "guilty?"

Why do you have a porn scene as an image. Specifically a interracial scene

It's mind boggling to me that an entire racial segment of our population votes Democrat at a 90% clip--and have been doing so for decades-and it's gotten them NOWHERE.

How long is it gonna take for enough of them to figure out they're being lied to and used for votes?! How hard is it to understand that if the Democrats actually fixed the issues they campaign on every election, there wouldn't be much use for them anymore?!

Honestly, what does the right offer black people besides some "ideals" ?

More than the left with it's "sit on your arse, it's not your fault, you can't do it without our help." Worst kind of racism.

I can see that perspective in a way...but what happens if you really do need help and it's not be because a lack of competency but because of a lack of historical privilege and discrimination and things that put you in a tough spot?

The system is broken and has been for a long time. The are black, white, yellow, green, orange people that well and truly need assistance. But it's been diluted by those who play and feed off the system.

Too many people cry discrimination when they simply don't get their way, and that muddies the water for real discrimination. It crosses all gender and color lines.

American history is full of slights and horrors here in our own country; slavery, the Civil War, Kent State, Wounded Knee, King and Kennedy, and on and on. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. It's 2017 and no one in this country has been affected by southern states slavery going back to the Civil War and before, so those that keep playing that racecard are as full of shite as the white supremacists, nazis, and other assorted assholes.

To see the challenges of the average beat cop and stop armchair quarterbacking these guys.

The point is that you'd have to face the reality of the situation on the ground and not your idealistic view of how these communities operate. You're basically saying you would go into it with a closed mine, which isn't surprising.
