While traveling in Europe, I’ve been mistaken a lot for being a local.
My crappy German language skilz always quickly betray me.
But my teeth are good, maybe in the British Isles they think I’m the dental exception.

It's part of the reason why a biz friend moved to the US around 1979. He had come over to the US and saw that most women still had a full set of teeth at the age of 21.

I recall reading that one of the big differences is that orthodontics is a relatively American enterprise. Sure it’s available all over, but most societies outside the US don’t slap braces on their kids when they are 12 years old as a standard practice. Think about the number of kids you knew who had braces when you were young. It seemed like most of the kids I knew had braces at some point - and that was 35 years ago. Most of my son’s friends have had them as well. Very few “perfect” teeth naturally, it seems.

Both are attractive women
Butterfaces by US standards. Beatrice has the crazy eyes and gummy smile. Eugenie is okay. A US 6 but probably a UK 8. She’s smart to take pics with her sister so she looks great by comparison.
ETA According to a Google rabbit hole, both these ladies had braces when they were kids. So it’s not like they haven’t seen an orthodontist before.

Where are all my single payer Marxists this morning?
Because we must surely adopt a carbon-copy of the British system. We absolutely cannot learn from them and improve it.

Why don't they do it??
People from countries where bidets are the norm ask the same questions about Americans and their nasty asses.

Anyway, they were going on about various topics when suddenly the Dutchman says….”Did you know the average American has more body fat than a pig? Isn’t that incredible.”
If true, that actually is incredible

You are wise beyond your years, Sir.

Yes, but most of us are still more thin than whales.

You're right, we can learn that socialized medicine restricts supply, causing poor outcomes. Why can you go get LASIK for under $5k, a crown for under $500, and your teeth cleaned for $75 (cash prices) in the US? There isn't a problem where there is little government regulation. Leave that to health care.

Less sugar and more walking. It’s amazing what those two things can do for people’s genetics in a very short period of time.
Please explain how “Less sugar and more walking” can change one’s GENETICS.
