Nearly three years into nonstop service between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and London-Heathrow, British Airways is adding a flight to that schedule. The British flagship airline will make round trips six days a week.

That flight is a huge success. It is consistently packed.

From what I've heard, expect to see more direct flights to Europe. I know Air France direct to Paris has been at least spying it for awhile.

This would have been so convenient for me at one time.

But the O-T tells me NOLA is a failed city and the new terminal is stupid.

Very few passenger flights use 747s these days.

The OT will be proven right. Give them a little time.

I'm curious how many people from the MSY service area (MS gulf coast to Lafayette?) fly to Europe daily. And what percentage of those passengers that were flying through US hubs were captured by the BA flight? Is there enough of a demand that AF could warrant a daily to CDG, or are they just fine sending those passengers through ATL or JFK?

pretty sure the OT has overwhelmingly suggested that Nola is over, ever since i registered on here years ago. yet, the city continues to break tourism records.

Flown BA, MSY to LHR twice and each time the flight was packed. Those who are considering taking the trip but are not business class ballers I highly recommend paying the extra $200 or so for premium economy.
