Bring in the Marines, New Orleans?

Seeing threads about New Orleans gangs and life as usual murder talk on the board. Seems to me, all my life really, NOPD has been in over their heads. I've often wondered, what about bringing in some special forces and doing some covert infiltration? Take out the known career criminals in the middle of the night. Make it look like "gang violence." Seems like an easy and effective way to clean things up.

would be unconstitutional. they have the right to due process same as anybody else. do you want a government that sends covert forces to take out their own citizens?

Interesting question because I guarantee you many on this board would say YES if it only targeted inner cities but NO if it targeted the suburbs or affluent areas. Parallel responses based on racial makeup of areas where covert forces are sent. Just saying.......

As long as they’re breeding them by the dozen and they’re growing up in poverty, there’s going to be crime in the city.

Well....They'd go wherever the subject criminals happen to be. Local SWAT goes wherever they are needed. Be it Brookstown or rural West Feliciana Parish.
