Nobody looked any finer
Or was more of a hit at the
Parkway Diner
We never knew we could want more
Than that out of life
Surely Brenda and Eddie would
Always know how to survive

I've always wanted a Billy Joel vs Bruce Springsteen fight to the death.

One of the greatest songs ever written.

It's really Brenda. His accent makes it sound like "Brender"
And it Billy Joel. Not Elton John.

A bottle of red.
A bottle of white.
It all depends upon your appetite.
My favorite Billy Joel song. It's like two different songs smashed together.

It's just such a good freaking song from the very beginning with the "A bottle of white, a bottle of red....." You know it's coming and no one tells a story in a song like Billy Joel. It's the same with Capt. Jack. You feel the train wreck slowly happening with each verse of that song.
