How has everyone on the old row been kicked off except for the Dekes?
DEKE is the only LSU fraternity that actually *owns* the LAND under their house... so when/if they lose their national charter, they don't have to vacate their house...
Story is that an old LSU chancellor sold the land to the fraternity for like $1 during some lame duck session.
Additionally, I think as much shite as everyone talks shite about Pike, they've never been kicked off campus (not for lack of trying

The investigation was a result of an Oct. 17 incident that involved the use of controlled substances in the chapter house, as well as potential hazing activities. Members of the fraternity sat outside the Sigma Chi house at 27 Dalrymple Drive on Friday afternoon, some on the front porch talking and others in the front yard throwing a football. Men drove by, honking their horns as they passed the house. The Sigma Chi members declined to comment about closure of their chapter. The Sigma Chi move comes after LSU’s Acacia fraternity was booted from campus in March, also at least through 2018, following an investigation into allegations of hazing. In that case, the university said it confirmed there was forced alcohol consumption and physical violence, as well as other Student Code violations.
Damn, I guess those rumors that nationals and alumni groups were getting tired of their shite weren't so bs afterall.
So now the top tier at LSU down to just KE or has KA been reinstated?

How has everyone on the old row been kicked off except for the Dekes? I wonder if EX is going to lose their house to a sorority row frat or one that is not currently on campus. Looks like if they were doing heroin, they moved up since I was there. Wow
Deke was kicked off back in '08 and didn't come back until 2010 (IIRC) and they are nothing like the Dekes of old. The only thing that even halfway made them midtier was their house and their signs, but the signs are gone now so they suck.
Top Tier back in the day ('12): KA, KE, EX, and LXA
KA is suspended or probation, EX is gone, KE doesn't have a house at the moment, and LXA is well LXA. Dark days ahead for LSU's Greek scene.

can't be kicked off, lulz. They own the house and the property it is on...

Story is not true, or atleast not true like they say it is. I was friends with a few Dekes, and according to them (so take with a grain of salt it) they were not allowed to stay in their house when they were kicked off in '08. IIRC from my time on IFC, LSU can't force a fraternity to lease out their house but they can keep a fraternity from using it. The national organizations own the houses and most can't afford to let a house sit there for 2 or 3 years without someone living it so they lease it out. Deke could afford it so the house stayed empty.
Back to the topic at hand, were the EXs really stupid enough to do drugs or haze in front of a camera?

So a member overdoses on drugs, and then it's found out that drug use was pretty wide spread in the fraternity. I don't see how that's sensationalist.
WAFB can suck a big one for how they wrote that story. And FTR, i have nothing to do with sigma chi, I just hate when a respected media outlet gets the story wrong.

So they were making the pledges hold lit joints in their buttholes and the other pledges had to take turns doing butt hits?

1) since when is 2012 "back in the day"?
2) bragging about frat shite after you have graduated is right up there with taking about your high school football glory days.

Yes

Black fraternities haze balls. They physically abuse their pledges a good bit.
Never hear a peep out of schools or media about it.

Not true.
Fiji was kicked off in the 90s owned their land rights, as well, which is why after years; they are back where they have always been.
And I understand Greek life at LSU in the 80s and 90s. It was like the machine.
Have no idea how easy it is for ya'll now! Haha

The Milk and Cookie Boys of the 70's and 80's somehow turned into the Junkies of the New Millennium.
Who'd a thunk it.

But they didn't get the story wrong. His death lead directly to LK looking at the videos and Nationals getting involved.
