Came here to say this. Guy was a regular at numerous bars including the Rusty Nail and was a degenerate drunk who would grope anything on two legs.

The left is the most economically illiterate bunch I've ever seen. It's quite amazing really. Not one has ever taken a basic econ class.

I guess this is what happens when you think economics is some new Twitter account.

Can’t even build a new refinery in this country even though it desperately needs it…pathetic admin. Bad energy and foreign policy for too long in this country with the latest clown admin trying to kill the most important industry in the whole world hands down.

Actor Dean Norris criticized people who are complaining about soaring gas prices across the United States.

The "Breaking Bad" star said current gas prices are "fair market" and urged anyone who "love[s] Capitalism" to "stfu," an acronym for shut the f--- up.

"You're not getting 'robbed' at the pump," Norris wrote in a tweet on Wednesday. "You’re paying fair market price for a commodity. If you love Capitalism so much then stfu."

Is he wrong? We've made our choices. Large vehicles. Large tires (rubber/petro). Single use plastics. Landfills growing as high as mountains.

It was always going to come home to roost. We are gluttonous. And humanity deserves whatever is coming.

That’s not capitalism. That’s the restriction of capitalism by your side.

It’s glutinous to use the gifts the earth has bestowed upon us for the benefit of everyone?

Do you realize that oil has improved the lives of virtually everyone on earth? Do you know how many lives have been saved by the use of fossil fuels to heat and cool dwellings? Do you realize it has lifted more people out of poverty than any other commodity?

Yes. Do you want to live in a world without AC? Or electricity? How many medical advances were made possible by the use of fossil fuels? Without them the world death rate would skyrocket.

You can’t slide a piece of paper between the US Government and Big Oil, it’s ducking incredible so many of you think any president is anti oil. Some Potus are completely pawns others are just under their control. Nobody gives a frick about tar sand oil

I never said we shouldn't be using them. We shouldn't be pissing so much of it away. Unless you believe they are unlimited, doesn't us behoove us to leave some for those that follow?

I see no evidence of that. None. Houses have gotten bigger. Vehicles have gotten bigger. We have houses on wheels. We have houses on boats.

Yes I have an air conditioned house. And a gas burning vehicle. The truth is probably somewhere between "go live in a teepee hippie" and the newest GM Humvee.

There’s no end in sight for how long the earth’s oil supply will last. I’m all for green energy but the switch has to happen organically, when it’s ready. It can’t be forced by government mandate when it’s not yet reliable, while we have a known cheap, reliable, and plentiful form of energy in fossil fuels at our fingertips.

It’s ducking incredible that you may think Biden is not anti-oil. Why else would he be doing everything he can to keep oil companies from drawing oil out of the ground?

The only reason any president does anything is because the people that paid the money to put him there tell him to do so.

Oil is a world market. See historical trend of spread between WTI and Brent price for case in point. O&G trading and markets are much broader than you are assuming.

quote:

Why did Exxon fire back at him (Biden) last week?

Joe Biden brought the PR dilemma to XOM
“Exxon is making more money than God” - Joe Biden. Your point would be much stronger if XOM and CVX were not making record profits. If Joe is crippling their operations, their cash flow from operations would not be at historical high.

quote:

Why did API send a letter

API suggestions are not dependent upon oil price market structure and dynamics but seem instead seek to address the aggregate demand exceeding aggregate supply, that which Joe Biden is not doing.

quote:

Oil futures have steadily been on the rise since Nov 2021

Yes, global fingerprints on rising oil price including decreasing world inventories (pronounced in Europe early 2022) as pandemic restrictions lifted around world, supply chains opening up, world travel and driving demand picked up, as some examples. Russia stacking up artillery on Ukraine’s border spooked global oil markets significantly as well.

Joe is doing plenty of damage in and of himself but the dynamics in the world’s oil markets extend beyond uncle Joe.

And his TV wife is a kleptomaniac. I can’t fault her affinity for purple clothing though.
