I used to fish the mouth of the Brazos from Bryan Beach. About 10 years ago the river flooded and I went down after work to fish. Flounder were jumping on the bank to get out of the fresh water. Filled an ice chest up in less than 30 minutes and never took my pole out of the truck.

Bees Creek is the only real area who may get stuck, but they are even saying they should be fine with the auxiliary road they are building for them to get in and out.

Ryno, DP lives in that section now. It's like between 2 canals.

Will this help soften up the greens at Sienna?

My friend lives in Richmond on the east side of the river. This picture was yesterday. Her house is next to the patio on the right. That was at 52.12'. Cresting at 53.5'. It will be very close for her.

I was just looking at Washington-on-the-Brazos on Google Maps. Apparently everyone is trying to go see the swollen river because it shows traffic is bad.

My daughter's last day of school was supposed to be this Friday but they cancelled school due 359/90/762 taking on water. I highly doubt the water will recede enough by then.

My parents are in Greatwood but they are protected by a levee. The bridge (train tracks) on Hwy 90 going into Richmond appears to only be a few feet above the water. Normally, its probably 50-75' Id guess.

I'm guessing a lot of FBISD schools will be closed beginning tomorrow.

Just came back from Texas. We stayed at a Hilton in Wack that was across the street from the river. Went out to a Homestead community and they took us out to see the river which was the property line. Beautiful stuff.

Probably b/c i'm the only idiot that came in and asked the question as to where the hell this was, instead of reading it and seeing no noticeable clues to people who don't live in Texas and then not posting.

Regardless, looks like a shitty situation and best of luck to any of you in that area.

They are now saying the river has surpassed it's anticipated crest of 53.5 feet and still rising.

I use to live right there on the edge of Richmond/Rosenberg on FM762. Crossed over that river every day on the way to the north side of the job. I was on the seaway pipeline project. Prayers for those in the wake of this.

Correct...at 53.71 (currently at Richmond) and they moved the crest from 53.5 to 53.8....

According to the drought monitor, yes.

Good luck to everyone in the way of this flooding. Cleaning out a flooded house sucks.
