It's crazy man. Praying we don't get hours of heavy rain here.

I say that because the river flooding in Sienna was close to this bad last year, so figured Sugar Land would've been about the same.

Gotcha. This is so much worse though for a lot of people. Pecan Grove and the 359 area is what amazes me. I wonder if something major has changed to make the drainage so much worse this year or if it is just simply the amount of water is blocking it up.

And not a single clear day in the forecast until next Tuesday. And that's in Richmond and not even taking into consideration rainfall up north that will flow down...

Saw a video on the news last night where a reporter and cameraman rescued a dog that was tied up on a porch with just his head sticking out of the water. I wish the trashy fricks who left him there would have drowned.

I would think the county has to begin preparing for raising the levees a few more feet to protect the more densely populated areas going forward.

Yeah, the the dog's name is Archer and I saw on the Ft Bend Sheriff's twitter this morning that she was rescued and can be adopted in a few days.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I can't think of one reason why you couldn't have unhooked the dog from the fence before bailing. Trashy bastards.

some developers found ways to bypass flood control regulations.
Area has been overbuilt
ground saturated from previous rains
a lot of rain in a short time
for multiple days
and its not moving these fronts have stalled over NW Harris/ Montgomery and Ft Bend

I've only lived in Hou for a few years now so I don't know a lot about certain areas. Is there a reservoir upstream of the Richmond area that helps control flooding? Has housing developments in the area negatively affected drainage? In my area the San Jac and Lake Hou is flooding. West Lake Hou Pkwy was shut down as it had 3' of water on it last week and flooding along there and the San Jac at I-59.

Not near enough.

I'm almost positive that it has but I don't know for a fact.

Why are the other areas that flooded in March not flooding now?

How is KW currently? I just moved to the Woodlands from Kingwood and I was over there on Saturday...saw the San Jac pretty much cut off Humble access for the feeders. Any flooding in the back (Greentree, Sand Creek, Kings Point areas)?

How is it up there? I'm supposed to drive up there tomorrow afternoon but it is looking like that would be a shite show. Transtar shows high water in several areas on 45 above the beltway.

These areas seemed to do ok but areas on Lake Hou and the golf course area flooded. Raining pretty good now
