Put 6 on one side 6 on the other. After one side tilts, take those 6 guys. 3 on one side 3 on the other. After one side tilts, take those 3 guys. Then you place on 1 on one side and 1 on the other with 1 sitting on the side.
If the seesaw is even, it’s the third guy. If one side rises, it’s the other guy

This is the correct way.
Or, stop being so passive aggressive about it and ask everyone their weight. Tell them if they're honest, there's a fun seesaw ride in it for them.
