was Christmas shopping on S Sherwood and Coursey...stuff was falling off the shelves and windows were rattling...
I was on crutches due to knee surgery...I looked at my buddy and at the same time we said "Exxon"...
have a friend working there in the lab with a 3 year old when it happened...for years after that when you asked his son where daddy worked he said "BA BA BOOM!"...

Grandparents house near Hollywood and Foster. For realz

I was at a Saints game when it blew. After the game I drove to Thibodaux to visit family. I didn't get home til Wednesday; from the media reports, I expected to see all my windows blown out.

Was working at Albertsons on Essen lane in the liquor store. It was closed and I was sticking. Shelves fell and it took forever to mop up. Want in for a couple of hours and stayed the whole day.

I was down the street @ Schwegmanns making
groceries when it blew. The store lights either dimmed or
went out, I don't remember.

I was in the car with my brother looking for a place to park at Cortana Mall. The explosion shook the car.

My maternal grandmother lived on Lobelia, just one house away from Choctaw. I am sure the explosion was huge for her. I was away in college when it happened. Have to ask my cousins and siblings what it was like.

Was at my grandparents in Park Forest, shook the house real bad. Then we saw the smoke. It was crazy nobody knew what happened at first

I was in Plaquemine.. My family was getting ready for mass & I was playing Tetris on my Nintendo. I was having one of the best games I ever had on Tetris and all of a sudden BOOOM. It sounded like it was close.. It shook the house and the power went out for a little while .

That was before you could save your games so I was pissed my game got messed up. My dad worked for Albemarle. He was off the week after Christmas but he had to go into work for a second one day and he brought me with him. I remember seeing all the houses in the area that had windows blown out..

We lived near Greenwell Springs road and Monterrey Blvd. I was with my brothers listening to the Saints game (it was blacked out on tv). The radio broadcast cut out and then about five seconds later we heard a rumble that sounded like someone ran across our roof. We ran out the house thinking someone was up there - there wasn't.

My grandfather lived off of Chippewa and had some broken windows but nothing else. He did say the explosion knocked him off his chair though.
