I check Trulia and Zillow every morning and I have noticed that houses in the neighborhood are going on the market every week. Why are people fleeing that neighborhood?

Its very odd IMO

Got to sell current place, buy a house in the proposed St. George so when St. George does happen, property value goes through the roof. Easy profit.

Might be due to the planned interchange at I-10 and the widening of Pecou. Traffic is going to increase.

That would be my guess too.

Btw, has construction stopped there?

We looked at a house there. We did not like the area nor the little factory full of baws right behind the property.

Not saying you’re right or wrong, but aren’t most homes in that neighborhood over $350,000? You’d think you would stave off the riff raft at that price point. I’m personally not a big fan of their tiny lots and the location off Pecue is odd.

I’ve heard some people say Green Trails in Shenandoah is having a similar issue with homes for sale.

Or northern Ascension parish. Ascension seems to be leading the way in the three parish metro area with percentages of increased values.

McMansions with tiny yards? yeah, I'd want out as well

The Briarwood neighborhood right next door has some well kept homes and feels more like a traditional neighborhood IMO

Did one person design every new house in Baton Rouge?

I hate those new neighborhoods where every single house looks exactly the same

You consider the homes in Woodridge as McMansions? Have you ever seen fountain hill off Bluff and I-10?

I’m kind of surprised but the whole Inniswold/Jefferson Terrace/BBT etc is killing it. Well maintained homes and lots of tear- downs and custom homes going up. And you have 1-10, 1-12 , Airline access , big lots , mature trees, parks etc.

Don't know when that French Acadian style is going to go away. I so sick of every neighborhood loo the same. Ready for some different home styles.

Due to Woman’s Hospital, the property values have blown up. I bought mine in in Woodridge in 2003. I made a lot of money when I sold last year and moved to Ascension.

Home styles are congruous with their said location. In Louisiana, that’s the innate style of home for the culture down here.

Do you know how long it would take to design 400 completely different homes?

If you didn't flood in Prairieville, your home value went way up. Several of my neighbors in a new neighborhood are selling, and I was amazed at what their appraisals were coming back for. We're talking 2yo houses here. Home values shot up after 2016 floods.
