Usually the higher end and older neighborhoods have some variance in style.

If you are talking about 1750sq ft 230k range than they're probably going to all look similar with a garage door right in the front. I hate that style

Its all about money.

If you were a big builder, would you want to pay for plans and appraisals on 100 different styles of home to each be used once, or 10 that you could build each 10 times? As long as people still buy them, which they do, it isn't going to change. Only difference would be in high-end neighborhoods.
