It would be way better to spend those millions adding a couple more lanes on I-10 between BR & Nola. I'm sure the Bonnet Carre spillway will need to be rebuilt in the not so distant future. Start it up now.

I would drive 90 minutes with no traffic rather than 1hr in stop and go traffic.

Time isn't as big a factor as people think.

Yesssss! I'm for it. I'll never use it, but I'd be interested in seeing what happens.

If this project so much as breaks ground, I will donate $100 to the charity of the OT's choice.

I'd say it'd be great for BR people who are going to Nola since they could save on parking, but I'm sure the rail station will charge for parking. Add that to a 3 hour ride, what's the point on a normal day. For big events in nola it would be great. I can't see any non-poors from Nola using this to go to BR though. Its not like you'll be able to walk anywhere once you get off the train.

Strongly disagree. Three hours of commuting a day gets old fast.

This may be worth it just for the link between MSY and the CBD alone.

I think you should have to book a night at the Staring Motel and post live updates to TD

I’m pretty sure you’re gonna need more than 260 million for that.

This service will likely take 2.5-3 hours to travel from BR/Nola.

Yikes. Even considering BR traffic, that’s too slow.

You would hope there would be some creative scheduling and express trains to make this trip shorter.

Do the tracks not allow for an LSU stop? You would think a stop near or on campus during school would get a lot of use and would be huge for home games.

To me this is a major major thing as well.

Most major tourist cities have a rail link from the Airport to downtown. Would be a big benefit to Nola.

I did it for 4 years then another 2 years.

Debating doing it again, this would seal my decision.
