Ive heard this before but never understood it. Is 'white bread' racist?
This guy on FB nailed it

Alfred Bell Why do we need to address this? You think they care for you? You think they accept you? Dead or alive you're nothing to them. We need to stop being surprised when white people show you who they really are
Point blank

It's not even the kind of mistake that deserves criticism.
What she did was a mistake that she has no reason to apologize for.
If anything, people need to apologize to her for making her out to be a racist.

It adds a layer of tragic irony to the whole charade that Jeanne is such a good human being and many of those criticizing her are the very worst humanity has to offer.

They may be some of the dumbest humanity has to offer, but not the worst. Theres worse people out there.

Quit correcting me, bro.
Especially when you are right.

You’re not a very intelligent person.

I have been around some pretty racist people in my life, and I have heard some pretty insulting names for MLk, but never that one, until the other news person said it, so don’t go thinking it is a code word used, the other story was pretty current and she just made a slip,
Posted on 1/19/19 at 4:30 pm to Tigerpaw123
The other guy was a slip up too. I still stand by what I've said since the other story. Mixed up king and junior and it came out as "koong" not coon.

Should we change the name...don’t see a whole lot of diversity in that pic?

“What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?”
—I call racist. They grow tea in India and Sri Lanka too. Why’s it gotta be tea in China?

What's that got to do with the price of tea in China? Are you trying to say that the word "coon" is remotely even close to the word "king," especially for a professional veteran news person who is supposedly intelligent enough not to use such an offensive word?
The real irony here is that you are eaten up with stage four racism if you believe what you are saying. I suppose you have never misspoken and stumbled over simple words in your entire life? Nevermind, you are truly hopeless. Unfortunately, you apparently have lots of company.

The NBC Local 33 Management spoke with Jeanne Burns following the mispronunciation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s name last night. We believe it was truly inadvertent and does not represent Jeanne’s core beliefs nor her character. Jeanne is demoralized by this mistake and regrets it immensely. We understand the impact a mistake like this has on our community. On both Jeanne’s behalf, and the station's, we apologize for this mistake. We hope that our, and her history of community involvement demonstrates this was nothing more than a misspeak. -Eric Thomas Vice President & General Manager Nexstar Broadcasting Baton Rouge
There you go. They addressed it. Happy?

Apparently not

Let’s hear her say it. Not you and to believe she is a professional mistakes life that is inexcusable. I’m quite sure she has said Dr. Kings name a thousand or more times in her lifetime. Get it right or get her gone

Sooooo, where's the apology?....Mistake?....MsMassa.

Why are white people the only one that makes that mistake?!?

Luther and Junior have the same “u” sound. King is in the middle. It’s like a tongue twister and easy to slip up.
