I think so.
It's bad east of there too. There is (hopefully gone by now) a lot of flooding all up and down Airline.

Was the flooding widespread throughout BR? I've really only been there for football games, so I'm not that familiar.
I think Nashville had some catastrophic flooding a few years back, but it quickly faded from coverage and I never saw any signs of it on visits (perhaps just in limited areas?). Just trying to gauge how this can be compared as I've never dealt with major flooding situations in GA.

I think it will be months and months. Consider the number that require repair/rebuild and available contractors.

From a flooding standpoint? Of course. Why do you think the older parts of the city were built where they were? Everything else was low-lying bottomlands that periodically flooded.
It'll be ironic if this is the event that was required to trigger the revitalization of old Baton Rouge, though.

Katrina was a category 3 car 2 when it hit. The things in Brookhaven were a result from tornadoes. Which the hurricane caused but the hurricane winds themselves did little to no damage. The storm surge destroyed everything.
