'Boycott for Black Lives': People plan to stop spending in companies that don't support BLM

LINK

On June 19, advocates of Black Lives Matter plan to support the namesake civil rights movement by not spending money with companies that aren't aligned with the movement or have remained silent. Some efforts include boycotting celebrities and politicians who've been vocal in opposition to the movement

They will eventually graduate to straight extortion and blackmail. The playbook is laid out in "Shakedown" the book about how Jesse Jackson accumulated his millions.

This is just the same model in the era of social media. Which basically gives it unlimited leverage.

Companies are in a no win situation. Nothing will be enough. They can make a statement..... then they’ll be asked for more and more.

Companies should not make a statement. Period. Businesses are created to fulfill a need. Or because they think they can do it better than their competitors.

It is actually refreshing to NOT know as a customer which side of the political table a business is on. Those that do speak out stand the chance of alienating at least 50 percent of their customer buying base. It’s a stupid strategy.

Just shut up. Deliver a great product, focus on your employees, provide them with a great work environment, make it fun and inclusive and good word will travel. And people will support you. It’s not that hard.

It's called extortion. RICO law needs to kick in and arrest these asshats. Please publish your list, so I know who to support. Right now it's Home Depot, never Lowe's, Zaxby's, not CFA, no more Lowe's or l'Oreal. Support any business that advertises on Tucker Carlson.

This won't end until the pendulum swings the other way and people start pushing back on these guys.

This and the fact that the follow through rate (on either side) on all these stupid so called boycotts is probably extremely low.

Chick-fil-A pissed me off with the shoe shine thing and I can huff and puff all I want, but the first time my kids throw a fit about going there we will go

Popeyes offers a great chicken sandwich with terrific customer service.

Cane’s is another alternative, but with great customer service.

Zaxby’s is shite. Their product sucks, except for their zalads.

No one really to compete however in the nugget space against CFA. Could be a business opportunity for someone.
