Poor kid. No doubt a rough existence for his short time on earth. Prayers to his family.
Maybe they can name a road after him in his hometown?

Something tells me mom didn't have a firmest grasp on reality. Kid needed someone that wasn't so cutsie, to get him through

I work with these types of kids. It happens way too much. Kids are unreal nowadays and their parents are to blame.

Likely. 15-20yrs ago, you were safe from bullying when you left school. Now, kids can’t escape it with the constant contact they have through all forms of social media
Sure back in the day people didnt have AC and they had to walk both ways uphil yada yada yada, but that shite doesnt bother a 9 year old. Never being able to escape the ruthlessness of other kids if you are different has to be pure hell on these kids

At a certain point, just pull the kid out of school for a while if possible.
THIS!! I understand the mother probably had to work but she could have found another avenue. With a condition like that, and I’m assuming the bullying has been going on for him to feel suicide was his only option.. homeschool that poor child. This makes me sick.

Social media will be blocked in our homes until they turn 17. Social media is more dangerous than any weapon humans can wield.

I have kids. We will just have to teach them from a young age that social media is nothing more than a tv show, a fake production of peoples lives

Jesus Christ, well if this isn't the most awful thing I've read in a long time.

a bit off topic, but do many parents leave their 10 year old at home alone?

This. I already tell this to my wife when she gets riled up over something on facebook. "Facebook isn't real life. These aren't real people. Nothing about facebook is real life. Facebook is how you want others to think of you, not how you actually are."
Sometimes it works.

You know what? As a parent I'm with her on this. As big of a thing bullying is in schools nowadays schools need to be held accountable when they allow shite like that to go on. You can't tell me those teachers and administrators didn't know that shite was going on.
are you fricking retarded? Do you really believe that the teachers can prevent ALL bullying from happening? I'm not defending the teachers or claiming they did a good or poor job. But you cant protect a kid from every form of bullying. and if you know how, plese share it with the rest of us.
I'm sorry for the kid and his family. But I don't believe that you can shield someone from all the meanies in the world.
FTR, we don't know the full story on the kid, his home life, or any other factors that are involved. This story is as suspect as the Indian/catholic students story at this point.
