Upon signing your financing paperwork, you signed a conditional delivery receipt.
Technically, you could drive back to the dealership, show the copy and language, give them the car back, and wash your hands of it.
No one ever bothers to read those
Your dealer's title company likely ghosted them when all of this started and stopped turning paperwork in to the state, or... The dealer's title clerk jetted.
The most likely conclusion is that you will have to resign because the dealership drug their feet. It happens.
Just remember, with the conditional delivery receipt you signed at time of purchase, you have zero legal obligation to do so.
Edit:
If you need further help and don't want to ift through all of this, email me.
I can also get someone to run your vin in the state system to see if it ever went beyond their back office.

And why can’t you drive 4 hours? Does your new car not work?
Only way I’m driving 8 hours for a company’s screwup is if they are compensating me for the travel and my time.

The finance manager will always avoid customers, ask for their title clerk.

True. Most people have to work much harder to get an unregistered car for the crime spree.

We had a similar thing happen from the infiniti dealership in Lafayette.
Bought the car, when we went to make the first payment, they would not accept and said the car had been paid off. Took 3 months to get all the shite straight, we kept sending in the check and documenting everything.
In the end, they had to open a new account, resign everything and cancelled all the previous uncashed checks. Had to write new checks. Huge pain in the arse and it's why we didn't get another infiniti.

You wrote off an entire brand for a retarded title clerk or finance manager?

No but Lafayette is the closest dealership to LC, not gonna deal with that level of incompetency when paying 80k+ for a fricking vehicle. And it wasnt just the finance manager, the whole thing was a huge pain in the arse. Also continued to have problems with battery and alternator going out.
Everytime I needed service, had to bring there. Everytime the same incompetence that was shown from the beginning showed it's ugly head.
frick all that

Qx80, that's how much all the big SUVs are pretty much. Go look and see how much an Escalade is. It's nuts.

can you get the car insured?

Do you have tags on it????? If so contact the local DMV and they should be able to help. Don’t let this linger.
