As mentioned above, a weak battery can cause all kinds of problems in newer vehicles.

Just because it starts doesn't mean the battery might not be the issue. Had a truck acting up once with weird things while it started and ran fine. New battery and it was back to normal.

Could also be a bad connection to the battery or a bad ground strap. Sounds like it's something along those lines.
