Still using my whirlpool from 06. Had the bears replaced a few years ago. Repairman told me to hang on to it as long as I can

I hate to say this, but I almost want my POS Samsung set to die so I can buy a Speed Queen.

Just got a new Maytag 4.7 Pet Pro. It is my most exciting purchase in years. Got rid of one of those front loading high efficiency things. We can stuff a lot of things in that bad baby.

<--- champions Speeed Queen here for 15 years.
Has LG aundry appliances.

I'm not even in the speed queen krewe. I had a set but now ex wife wanted new front loaders and had laundry room built to not for top loaders.
LG makes decent laundry machine though so 10 years later still kicking.

My ex Speed Queens are still kicking in my buddy's garage though. And they were used when i got them in 2006.

Bleach causes metals to rust. So does detergent.
Crazy.

One day we're talking about the OT Hookup Flowchart™ and the next we're talking about...checks notes...washing machines.

Aren’t you like 5’7? Why do you need a king size bed?

You can raise the lid and it still washes and doesn't stop.

Got a TC5? Look on YouTube. There's a video that shows you how to bypass the flipper switch thing on the back with a clothespin. It's easy as pie to do.

We just got a SQ washer and dryer. They’ve lived up to the hype so far.

Does anyone else have to run a minimum of 2 cycles to dry a load of towels in your speed queen dryer or is it just me? And even sometimes 2 cycles for a load of clothes depending on the volume.

My dryer is not a Speed Queen but I usually have to dry towels a little more than one cycle, especially if it's a large load

I went with a basic Maytag dryer.

I hadn't thought about getting the SQ washer and going with a different dryer. It seems the SQ washer is really the more important of the two. Are there advantages to an SQ dryer? The washer is what's most talked about here.

You nailed it. I've got a SQ dryer also. It's perfectly fine, but it isn't anything special. SQ washers are elite though. They can't be beat, IMO.

What's the Speed Queen version of a fridge with an ice maker. I'm tired of these gizmo fridges that break with a mean look.

If in Baton Rouge, call Stanton’s @ (225) 275-6220, make an appointment with Kathy. She’ll know. She handles my accounts. Tell her Dad sent you.
The Lady knows the appliance business.

Kathy does sell the SQ’s.
