When was he supposed to let them know? While they were jumping him or after they removed it from him and shot him in the back?

Sometime in the 15 seconds he was actively resisting them and trying to stand up?

It is a very relevant fact considering the legal standard for justifiable use of force

Just one example, there are plenty others out there

Abolish ICE is a fringe, extreme position

Or at least it was

There is no justifiable use of deadly force if the man has been disarmed and the threat is over.

None. Zero.

All the “stop resisting” folks would curl up and go fetal the same way this guy did

This is a bullshite argument.

I think his point is that the "stop resisting folk" typically don't have a laser sighted Sig Sauer strapped to their back in this situation.

Resisting? He was getting pummeled by 6 men after being pepper sprayed

His body was just trying to not die at that point.

Can anyone still reading this thread and not bleeding all over it give a synopsis of current knowledge?

The main question I have is did he have the gun on his person or did he fish it out of the backpack during the scuffle?

Funny enough he didn’t have one either when he was shot

I don't see a ton of justification happening in this thread.

Mostly just cause and effect analysis.

Was in his back/hip the entire time until it was removed by an agent

If we have to use the same resources to oust 1illegal in MN that we could oust 10 in TX, I prefer the TX method.

Which, politically and morally, is absurd considering the massive systemic problem with illegal immigration as it relates to apportionment in the House.

It’s like arguing that Texas should intentionally interfere with federal tax collection of Texas citizens and the federal government, in response, should just focus on tax collection in the other 49 states.

Yea and anyone with ANY sense would know, if they had any gun knowledge, to not resist federal officials while armed.

This guy was just straight stupid. I don’t care how fast it happened.

Even if the cops are COMPLETELY unjustified in detaining and jumping me, if I am carrying, I’m not going to resist unless it is MY intent to “die by cop”

That’s okay, you don’t have to believe it. There has been zero appropriations or reform to make our backlogged immigration courts be more efficient/faster to process. That’s one of the major causes of mass illegal immigration. Not all, but much of it…

Over the past ~15 years, the Fedgov doesn't seem to be having issues buttfricking Americans in the engineering/tech/medical fields with massive amounts of H1Bs, so I'm going to have to disagree with your urgency in opening up more legal immigration. Many of the Somalis committing fraud in MN are here "legally", and the legal Indian fraud is going to end up dwarfing their bullshite once it all comes out.

You are either blind or a liar at this point

He was clearly resisting and trying to stand up

I think your points in here are fairly level but I completely disagree with you judging the situation watching a bunch of slow motion reddit videos vs what looks like it transpired in the manner of 10-15 seconds or less is pretty silly.

I think that was the poster above's point. This shite happened very fast and it's not hard to fathom a situation of chaos where 4-5 officers see one Sig Sauer strapped on this dude's back and then someone else yelling GUN and mistakes being made.

More people than not are not going to keep calm like Dick Winters and expecting that is just delusional.

Interesting take from the “they have a right to be in the road!” people.
