Do you not understand the graph? The % of marriages reaching 10 and 20 years is significantly higher in the people married in those decades than the people marrying in the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. In every age group, the % of those divorced levels out.

Unless there is an absolute rush of people divorcing after 30 and 20 years of marriage that buck the previous 5 decades long trend, that won’t happen.

Sometimes the world needs to see the pain and devastation before they realize the grass isn’t greener. The divorce explosion was necessary and inevitable, and likely a reason more marriages are lasting, as so many have seen how bad it can get firsthand.

Some stayed out of the pool of married, willingly or unwillingly, but many who jumped in are more committed.

Now let’s do cost of living.

That chart is complete garbage statistics. It says that the %chance goes up the longer you’re married. It can’t possibly be measured that way and get those results. That statistician is a boob.

So what’s your point? I’m a boomer. Seventy years old. My father signed up at 18 to defend our nation. He fought in the South Pacific and fought for three years in the South Pacific on PT 220 squadron 16. My parents were married until death, more than 60 years. I will be married to my wife next year for 50 years. You anti boomers would be speaking German and/or Japanese had you not been blessed by the greatest generation and liberators for freedom.
