It was not celebrity worship, it was just that he added context to what was on the screen.

Seems like each year the Boomers love to puff their chest out on Monday after the Super Bowl and crow about how they didn't watch the game and/or have never heard of the halftime performer. I've noticed this more and more over the last several years

I'm pretty sure that the take-away here is that the older you get, the more good sense you have.

But I did have an open mind and listened to it again with Snoop Dogg watching and commenting on it. The performance warmed on me a bit. Snoop was eating it up. Snoop liked the symbolism of the costumes and performances.

Did he have a cheat sheet to clue him in or do those people just naturally understand what each other is saying?

like most years, the game and halftime show are on the TV at my house.

but unless they are compelling, I can't say I devote a ton of attention to either of them.

last night was no exception.
it wasn't so awful that I had to watch the train wreck and tell everyone it was bad.
but it also wasn't anywhere close to some of the iconic ones of the past either.

There were a bunch of people saying the stage was made to look like the squid games symbolizing the rich v the poor or some shite

Then a link was posted saying KL wanted it to look like a PlayStation controller because his life is a game

The symbolism of the performance had the depth and originality of a walmart brand thin crust pizza

Well, THIS boomer can't talk bad about the show....

...because I took a shower during the show. My ears and eyes weren't assaulted by it.

Everyone of every age that I talked to didn't like it.

I liked using an actor named Samuel to play Uncle Sam. That made it easy to remember.

Millennial who thought it was boring checking in

Couldn’t really hear or understand him.

No live band or instruments or change up, no special guests (in a city with a musical history like New Orleans) seems like a big fail. Samuel L Jackson as Uncle Sam doesn’t really move the needle

Super Bowl halftime should be a bigger spectacle and have higher production value than what that was IMO

Definitely not in the target demographic. My high school senior son thought it was good. I used the time to hit the bathroom get more alcohol and snacks.

What little bit I heard of it, it was shite!

News flash Boomers- you aren't the target demographic for the halftime show.

Newsflash: it isn't Boomers calling this shite out. It's Gen X and older Millenials like myself.

Thread isn't going how you wanted, is it?

I didn't think it was "bad". Bad would have been entertaining at least. Worse, it was boring.

However, he was wearing normal jeans with his arse covered, so I hope that starts a new trend.

I am not a boomer and this was definitely the worst halftime show I have ever seen. Couldn't understand a word he said.
