LGBTQXYZ frolic forest at Highland Road Park...officially. Yes I know they’ve been frolicking there already for years.

They've moved on from Forest Park? Highland Road Park back in the day was the bomb on Sunday afternoons. Lot's of loud 8-tracks blasting cool jams, chicks in halter tops, beer, loaded Lee High kids, and general good times.

It's going to be really fun when the teachers tell the kids to rat out their parents if they disagree with what their children are being taught. They'll just tell the kids that they'll take care of their parents with just a knock on the door from these guys.

Buddy's kid was given one by his ex wife last year.

I may have colored all the faces in black face in said book with a sharpie. Maybe.

It was too funny not to.

Not in my kid’s school. Only in the government indoctrination camps known as the EBR public school system.

You think they won't go after private, Catholic, or homeschooling during all this? I implore you to look into Kamala Harris' background when it comes to schooling. Tried to get multiple parents thrown into jail.

democrat voters, do you think things like this will actually stop black teenagers from slaughtering each other in Baton Rouge?

Or perhaps it's important for two reasons. One, for non-white children to be able to read books about people like them and experiences those like them go through as children. If your childhood library had been filled with books written by brown people based on the experiences of brown people, you probably wouldn't have cared as much about reading.

That's you point blank accusing me and basically everyone of being a racist, so I say on behalf everyone here: eat shite mother fricker.

It's rather telling how upset you get when someone dares to invade your thought bubble. You're the PERFECT fricking example of why books like this are needed.

By insulting us as a bunch of racists and bigots? Honestly thinking it through, I tend to like stories with female protagonists a bit more than male protagonists on the whole. Does that make me transgendered or bigoted against men? No, it's that it doesn't really matter what culture, sex, or race the character is a part of. A good story is a good story.

Why are you so mad at him for saying kids should learn about and get exposure to other cultures and backgrounds?

But he's not saying that. He's saying we're naturally bigoted and racist. Last I checked, Asian culture is pretty popular with both kids and adults. Black Panther grossed well over a billion dollars, most of the ticket sales came from a white audience, and white kids wanted to dress as him for Halloween on mass.

We treated, and to an extent STILL treat, Africa as a continent of natural resources to be raped and pillaged, economically speaking, where even the fricking PEOPLE of Africa were nothing more than a natural resource to be used in the White Christian reach for greater and greater power.

Which country is predominantly doing that now? I'll give you a hint: It's not a predominantly white country.

Found the white supremacist theyve been warning us about.

But ill answer some of this, I dont recall reading books and thinking solely about the race of someone through words on a page.

Even if you want to go childrens books, i dont recall dr suess being all white people.

They need to be more focused on teaching math. My 10 year old EBR students didn’t know .25 = 1/4th.

Teaching Math and Reading.

When I worked at the public library in EBR - I had middle school kids who were reading junie b Jones - and not just go past their AR points - that was their actual reading level and they were not children with learning disabilities (as per the teachers and parents coming in for the books)

I mean, that’s fine. It would be hypothetical to silence speech we didn’t agree with.
