Anyone check out Book of Mormon this weekend in NO? Saw it today with the wife and it was not what I expected. The best advice I got from a friend was to check my religion at the door. I enjoyed it, as much as one could enjoy a musical. I am surprised in today's PC and homophobe climate that this has won awards.

TLDR; Enjoyed the show, would recommend to others.

Edit: researched Mormon's after the show, they are a strange bunch of peeps.

Can you imagine a satirical Muslim musical?

Yeah, doubt it would be allowed to last.

The gf and I went Tuesday. I hate musicals and I loved it. The performers were all very good.

My sister walked out when she went to it on a trip to nyc. Didnt know what it was about, so didnt know to "check her religion at the door". She said the reaction of the little old lady next to her made her even more uncomfortable. Ha.

Yeah, Jesus spent the three days between death and resurrection chilling with Hebrews in america.

They do a great job actually telling the Dogma.

It's a great play.
They ate bashing Heavenly Father, not your God.

not surprising at all. Anyone who has anything to do with those awards are extreme liberals. Those rules don’t apply to them so it’s ok

I saw it years ago because I like Matt and Trey's work. Way too hammy and flamboyant. I left at intermission.
