We've been getting them in the cans instead of boiling our own. A standard small can is a hell of a way to start a FriYay afternoon. Fills your stomach up with something solid to put those cold beers on top of.

My plan this year is to boil peanuts enough times that I can put enough in the freezer to eat some every few days, and have them last until they come in the following year.

Having grown up in Dothan, Alabama I can’t even conceptualize someone with this opinion.
There is nothing more comforting than a good boiled peanut. Especially good and hot on a cool fall day.
