I guarantee you it was one of the reasons that CVS shut down

Not really, it was the rent going up $7k a month.

I think the city pulled their liquor license too and the owner basically told them to f off and sued them over it.

Next suspension starting May 6th

They may not even have their liquor license back by then:
quote:

The board agreed to revisit the suspension penalty at their next meeting on April 25 and, depending on the status of the case, could potentially reissue Boil & Roux's liquor license then.

Upon receiving its license at the end of the 30-day suspension, Boil & Roux will remain on probation for a year, according to settlement terms.

As of two weeks ago they also didn’t have a state liquor license which is an entirely separate issue.

This Cinco De Mayo party is likely their death knell.

Looks like they NEVER had a liquor license to pull. That's what boggles my basic brain.

a black-owned restaurant

Black owned restaurants have a higher failure rate than White, Asian, or Hispanic owned restaurants. It's not because their cooking skills are any worse or people don'twant to support them. It's usually because there service sucks.

Having restaurants with no customers must be some type of new-fangled business plan I've never heard of.

Video poker. You have to serve food to have video poker. All you need are a few good video poker addicts to turn a decent monthly profit.

I mean, I’m kind of impressed that Rude Jude is hosting Cinco this year.
