The DA saying it's deadly and an actual law that says it's deadly are two different things. Even if it was, the suspect was running away from the officers which means it doesn't qualify as an imminent threat. You are correct that it's about as open and shut as cases get, though. It's just not the way you think.

He wasn't firing a taser. He was running away from the officers with one in his hand, meaning he had no intention of harm.

When you mean harm to someone, do you normally run away from them?

You do realize that same DA actually charged other officers with Assault with a deadly weapon. That weapon they were using on a person not complying? A taser.

I’m pretty fricking stupid but Jesus Christ you’re on whole different level. The officers will get off and you can do some more “peaceful protesting” In a different city. What a scumbag you really are.

One uninformed idiot after another has rolled through this thread spouting the same shite. None of them have read the thread, much less read other accounts or watched any of the videos. They are simply parroting what they are told happened.

RB disarmed an officer of taser. RB points and fires taser at officer while fleeing. Officer cannot be expected to know the taser, after RB fires it at pursuing officer, has now fired twice and is now inoperable. Officer cannot allow himself to be tased or he risks RB taking his pistol. Unfortunate result, but not excessive use of force.

It looked pretty operable when he fired it and it glanced off the officer's arm.

I have. The taser was fired twice. The officer knew this. That just so happens to be the max number of times that tazer can be fired, so like I said he was not firing the tazer.

Yes, while they were on the ground he fired off the non-lethal weapon further demonstrating that the officers were in no danger of losing their life.

Alright. Okay. Alright.

So, what was it that came out of the end of that taser when he pointed it at the cop and pulled the trigger? Fairy dust?

The officer were physically assaulted
Further there were innocent bystanders who could have become victims
Rayshard brought this on himself

You are aware that there is a stun mode on those tasers that does not use the cartridge to fire the probes? It is used when in close contact where the taser can't be fired traditionally. It operates just like a stun gun.

You know that, right?
