The official name of a new multi-million pound research vessel could be the RRS Boaty McBoatface after the internet was asked for its ideas. When the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) opened up suggestions to name their new ship, little could they have predicted what the frontrunner would be.

This comes in a close second to sending Pitbull to a Wal Mart in Kodiak, Alaska.

Watched Last Man On Earth earlier this week and the guy had a sailboat named "Deez Knots". That was my new favorite at the time. But I have to say, this takes the cake.

The trick is it has to be a pun, and that pun has to be nautical.

Terrible. What have we turned into?

Are we reaching the point where a lack of irony is actually ironic?
