Assuming the initial cost to build pool and buy boat are the same, pool is not that expensive. I spend less on my pool each year than I would spend on gas running out 50 miles to fish a few times year.

It cost me at least $100 just every time I use my boat......
I can swim in back yard for free, plus I dont have wash my pool or pay to store it when I'm done.
Boats are way more of a money pit than a pool is and it's not even close.

Our pool cost about $20 a month to own. WTF kind of pool costs $250 a month to own? Vegas style fountain? Ridiculous amount of needless chemical?

From June-Sept my pool probably cost me about $100 a month, that's chemicals, water and electricity combined.,
