Love my bmw m3 which is about 6 yrs old now but I feel like they have too many models now. The brand is losing exclusivity for sure.

I'm debating between one of these, a Lexus IS 250, or a VW Passat.

Here are some BMW's for the non-ballers:

Get a 2015 Range Rover Sport.

With the M-Sport package it looks great:
Well no shite.
328i =/= M3

Just wondering what you drive?

No. Those stats are for a 328i. The picture is a 328i with the "M Sport" appearance package (better wheels, front and rear defuser, upgraded interior). The M3 gets to 60 in under 4 seconds these days.

Yes, most people cross shop $80,000 SUVs with $40,000 sports sedans. Moron.

That's not the m3 you dip shite.
Anyway I've got a 03 330i with a 5 speed as my daily driver. It's a wonderful car to drive plus it's built like a tank.

I recently moved to te DFW area and wanted something with better gas mileage than my large truck. Went looking and the BMW 3 series got better mieage than the Camry, Accord, Fusion plus it was much more fun to drive. On highway long runs and in eco mode, I will get 43-44 mpg.
I did test drive the 5 series and it was a much different ride, like driving the 3 better. i had a Chevy sonic for a rental car last week and my BMW 3 got better gas mmileage than it too.

Great car. Have owned several. Lots of hate in this thread which is weird. It's a just a car. I would imagine most of the derogatory comments are from people who really aren't into cars or have limited knowledge of cars in general.
A plug and play tune on a 335 and you are at nearly 400hp and still about 30mpg hwy. And it drives better than anything in its class. Great cars that have set the standard.

I disagree about it still being the ultimate driving machine. I think that title has now passed to the Mazda Miata.
The 3 series no longer has driving feel as its ultimate goal--BMW's too focused on badge-seekers and fuel efficiency. They've done things like replace the uniquely glorious inline sixes with more efficient but less enjoyable turbo fours and (worst of all) replaced the best hydraulic steering units in the world with less fun/less involving electric ones.

I do agree with you. BMW made cars for drivers. Now they are making them for the masses. There is no way around that. Sad really but that is business.

This is the only legitimate critical post in the thread. The rest are just sort of sad and probably say mor about the critiquers than anything.

Don't the 335s still have the inline 6?
Posted on 8/30/15 at 8:50 pm to BigPerm30
Of course they do. There's lots of stupid in this thread.
No one uses hydraulic steering anymore so kiss that goodbye.
