It's one of the only things I miss about living in Louisiana.

Finished up at the grocery store about 30 minutes ago (1130 EDT). We can buy wine in the grocery store anytime, but cannot buy beer before noon on Sunday.

Why? What fricking sense does that make?

You can’t buy liquor in Lake Charles on Sundays.

It kills me when people defend them.

“Why do you need booze so early? Can’t you just plan around it?”

BR got rid of theirs 8-9 years ago because they realized people were just driving to a neighboring parish to buy it.

7am-2am 7 days a week here

I remember growing up in LA and the liquor aisle was roped off on Sunday mornings

I miss that too.

Gotta go to an ABC store here. Not open on Sundays.

Doesn't BR still have the same law in place that won't sell beer before noon on Sunday as well? And other parts of Louisiana

Where I live you can buy any type of alcohol everyday from 6 am until 2 am...even on Sunday.

They got rid of it 8-9 years ago. It's 6am to 2am 7 days per week. No restrictions on liquor, wine etc either.

"Because frick you this is America"

Texas is gay af with this. No beer and wine before 12 on Sunday, no liquor at all. Nothing at brunch until 10 and you have to order food too.

If I want to get wasted at 8 AM, I should be able to with alcohol I purchased that day.

Try dealing with no liquor after 10 and none on sundays in a state full of dry counties!

But they still don't let restaurants serve alcohol until like 11 on Sundays right?

I can go to breakfast at 6 am at any of the breakfast restaurants that serve alcohol and order an alcoholic drink with my breakfast.

They are truly pointless and have zero valid arguments behind them

You still can't have mimosas with breakfast at a restaurant though on a Sunday morning in BR
