Seems like the EBR Metro Council changed this within the past 12 months. And it was because of brunch.

Texas is actively trying to prevent me from vomiting in my garden on a Sunday morning.

For some, church is smoking a bowl and working your way through a six pack.

Doesn't show up when you look up liquor laws for BR...still says 11 am on Sunday

But they still don't let restaurants serve alcohol until like 11 on Sundays right?

Nope, you can serve alcohol as soon as the restaurant opens. I go to Mason's and City Cafe for brunch on a regular basis and both places start serving mimosas and bloody mary’s as soon as the door open at 10 am.

So you are excited because they changed the law to go back one hour? When many other places let you drink starting at 6 or 7 am?

Once again BR is easy to please cause of such lowered expectations by the people that live there

Most brunch places don’t open until 10 anyway so what’s the deal with lowered expectations?

I can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant with the intent of drinking before 10am. College maybe?

The only thing that irritated me was not being able to buy alcohol for our Saints parties back in the day. My wife used to send me to West BR to buy wine and beer because we had people coming over for the game. Hasn't been an issue in some time now.

It's not even an Arizona thing as several other places all over have more lax liquor laws. But continue to use such a lame and tired comeback cause that's all you got

People in NOLA must laugh at BR getting excited over being to order a mimosa at 10 am now.

Exactly. If I want to drink in my home early on Sunday, who’s business is that other than my own? I think one of society’s biggest problems is that people spend so much time trying to dictate how other people live, that they forget to be and teach their kids to just be a decent person.

What are you talking about? I’ve never had an issue getting a drink unless it was between 2 am and 6 am.

What restaurant and/or bar are you getting a drink at on a Sunday morning before 10 am in BR?

That is the discussion, keep up.

Who’s even open that early besides breakfast places?
