With a bad flu being 10 times as lethal as your normal flu

Sort of an important detail

Why do you think you know more than a doctor? Did you go to hospital school? I didn't think so.

Unless I’m mistaken, I think Scruffy did go to doctor school.

WTF! If it will that bad in Ohio then the rest of the country is screwed.

The STF at home like I was just ordered to do. That is stay in the house in the easy chair and watch TV. Don't go out except for an occasional mad dash through the grocery store. And don't even look at the toilet paper aisle because there ain't none there.

More tests = more cases. Most cases are proving not severe. Now with multiple studies showing effective treatment the severe cases are VERY survivable.

Calm down and get beck to work.

I don't see how you can have 10k a day. We don't even have that many tests and can't test that many people a day the way it is now. Not to mention people that get tested and come back negative.

You know epidemiology involves biostatistics right? It’s likely a theory based upon available data.

Ohio's peak will be Mid May with up to 10k cases per day

Uhhhhh, I got a dollar that says she's full of shite. Ohio may not have a thousand cases per day, except in densely populated cities like Cleveland, Cincinnati and Akron.

Evidently a lot of Ohioans are listening to her fear mongering. My sister is there and she ordinarily is a happy go lucky type, but she is now complaining to me because I am not doing all the "social distancing" at all times, etc.

My “essential” job requires that I be crammed into a lab with like 20 other people in close proximity. Social distancing just isn’t possible for everyone.

’m trying to understand “the peak isn’t going to hit for 8 weeks” predictions. How in hell is it going to spread like wildfire that far away when damn near everything is closed down and people are isolating?

Isolating only delays, and hopefully minimizes, the peak. Or so I’m told

It's not 10x that in April and you have people dying in droves because they can't get medical attention? This isn't a hard concept.

If you’ve got 10,000 cases a day regardless of month people will be dying in droves

Has there been 10000 cases a day anywhere?

How do you know it’s made up? She’s extrapolating based on current data and projection models. You are not even speaking in third person anymore, so how can we consider you credible? Give us some support for your position that it’s made up based on the population, exposure rates, morbidity rates or something.
