Everybody says the owner is an a-hole and the food is mediocre, yet the restaurant has moved to nicer buildings and been open, and prosperous for 20 years?
Is it a front for laundering money? Crappy restaurants that treat their customers poorly close down.

Rips is the only Old Mandeville restaurant with a spot on the guidance sign at the rt 59 exit. Maybe the get some traffic that way? Either way if it’s a nice day on the lakefront and you have no problem getting a big balcony table that tells you something.

Because the food was fine. It was paying for the food that they objected to. There was never going to be any tip, and getting the food for free would have been awesome.
The owner has seen this game many times before, He called them on it. They took their mock offense to FB.

Lets just say that they did not put out the whole video. They ordered calamari then complained when it was squid calamari and not shrimp calamari. Everything went downhill from there.

Please understand that CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistant) and many have the misnomer that this is a real nurse, and it is not. They do all the shite work, literally, but don’t have the schooling or education to do anything that requires higher medical attention.
Not saying that is the case here, however, it should be noted.

From my experience, RNs don’t throw that in your face to prove they are worthy. They usually downplay it whereas LPNs brag and just say “nurses.” RNs, if they do brag, will day RN.

I was once confronted by a table of angry women complaining their shrimp cocktail was cold
I could tell stories for hours, one woman was furious her meal wasnt comped when the kitchen put french fries on her plate instead of rice, I promptly brought her rice but in her mind she had already earned a free meal.
One table was angry that it took a little longer than normal when they all ordered ribeyes during sunday brunch at 10:50

Pretty obvious they wanted their money back, that is why he was offering them some sides and you can hear her saying we didn’t eat it. I have never refused to pay for my food at a restaurant, never. Why anyone thinks you can order food, eat the majority of it and then say you didn’t like it and aren’t paying for it is amazing.
