re: Black women racially profiled at Mandeville restaurant

Get the owner! Starts videoing...they wanted to be comped and thought the video would get them a free meal.

They wanted special treatment and threw a tantrum on FB when they didn’t get it. This happened over a week ago. My black friend sent this to our friends group message last weekend so maybe he’s friends with one of em on FB. first thing I said was “frickin Karen’s”... everyone laughed and think that put the race baiting attempt to bed real quick. Told them the owner is kind of a known prick though so not surprised that would’ve happened.

This smells of horse shite.

I remember when rips was a in that shitty tin building and went back on Valentine’s Day. It was fine but not amazing like other places I’ve been. I also didn’t get mad when it took forever nor the little petty things that happened. The worst thing that ever happened was everyone with a camera.

Once I was in the mini-storage business.

Dealing with people that looked similar to them and the white trash element was a an almost daily,impossible ugly element of that job.

It took me a while to realize that it is dangerous to try to even speak to some folks because they take such leaps in their reasoning process.

Funny story about waiting on black women....

When I went to LSU, I was a bartender at Chimes. Sunday brunch was a popular outing for the after church crowd. One Sunday, 3 or 4 black women sit down at the bar and get their Mimosas/Bloody Mary and then ask to see some menus. I tell them the specials, etc. Then, like clockwork, it’s all shrimp platters, seafood platters, with special requests for shite and questions about everything.

One woman asked that her house salad have Ranch dressing on the side. Pretty common request. When I went to check on them as salads came out, she said,
