This is something frequently pulled by people of a certain race. And not just uneducated people, some well off people will do it too. Complain about the food so you get your food comped or you get something else for free. Sorry lady, maybe y’all were being honest. But other people have set a bad precedent, and now you need to deal with that

Used to work with a black dude from New Orleans. I don't think there was a meal he didn't try to get out of paying.

It is a type of person, not just race, it is the "entitled".
We have a few friends with family members who are white of skin that do that shtt at every meal.

It’s engrained in a culcha to believe when you go to a restaurant, you’re supposed to be treated like a king or queen, and if it isn’t perfect they shouldn’t have to pay. And it’s never perfect

This reminds me of a time a black man tried to bounce on his check and I called him out. He said he needed to run to his car and that he was going to come back to pay. Then started getting all racial, saying he was a doctor, why would he not pay, he has the means, and I'm a dick for insinuating he was trying to basically steal.
Well he didn't pay and I just told him to leave. He came back later with his ID from the hospital and started putting it in my face. I said now he was harassing me for trying to steal and I would call the cops if he didn't leave.

If you wanna say it’s trashy people and entitled people, sure. All the former and current servers in this thread letting off some steam are letting you know the truth. A lot of the time the truth isn’t PC

Not saying the majority isn't, just saying it is that certain attitude, which those ppl usually display.

There’s something to be said about nurses too. Nurses actually are terrible customers. They’re very entitled, often rude, and rarely tip well. Nursing is a blue collar profession that pays well, and you can tell with the way nurses act and who they associate with and how they spend their money
She didn’t make her case better by mentioning nurses (though those “nurses” are CNAs, they change bed pans and stuff, they aren’t administering medicine)

Food looks perfectly fine to me. And of the only fried food without a remoulade/sauce, who would want an overly spiced/salty calamari anyway? Drizzle the lemon, dip and enjoy. Maybe these thicc sisters just aren't all that smart and don't know better.

With a family full of nurses, I've shocked how my sisters and cousins developed attitudes after becoming nurses. They also do not "charity" anymore, but they are also a little underpaid imo.
The SO is I'm nursing school now, we are already starting to fight.

He would do this in front of other co-workers? I’ve just never in my 35 years of life tried to complain about a meal to not pay. Sent back food to be cooked a little longer and then happily eaten it and paid, that’s about it.
