So we have one very serious allegation from 30 years ago, followed by "OMG HE TALKED TO ME AT A PARTY! "
Yeah these women are fricking trash. So you saying the dude hit on you, and now you are offended? Obviously if you go back to his apartment, then what signals are you trying to send him?

These allegations seem ridiculous. I’m hoping the network is halting the show for a couple of months to give deference to the “investigation”, which will show he may have hit on a few women, oh no! . ....then, the show comes back on in March, and metoo can look elsewhere.

They are applying their insane progressive modern standards to a completely different cultural past.

It’s like them having issues with old movies and TV shows because they view them through a modern lens.

It’s asinine and society as a whole needs to reject their whole premise

Ehhhh...if it's in the same lifetime...then you can call it out, I think.

You’re suggesting that hitting on a woman, in the typical fashion at the time, not any kind of rape...should result in destroying a man’s career decades later?

You don’t see any issue with this?

Meh, him and Bill Nye both come across like they think way too highly of themselves. Could probably use some negative press to humble him.

It's a tough one, man. I've lost out on chances with women because I wasnt aggressive enough. That being said, I'd rather go home alone and jerk off rather than make an unwarranted advance and become Weinstein without the $$$

You make your move, read the signals and go from there. If she shuts you down you stop. It’s not that hard. You have to swing to hit the ball.

This is the saddest post I've ever read. If It wasn't for non testosterone having soy boys and ugly chicks in California, WaltTeevens could be getting laid right now! Hope you're happy Moonbeam!

This came out several months ago and he responded strongly. His statement basically called the allegations BS and I never heard about it again. I don’t know why it is popping back up now. I can’t find his original statement but he said the drug and rape allegation is 100% false and the others were basically what the ladies said. He made a pass at them, they said “no” and he immediately stopped and didn’t do it again. There are no allegations that he tried to use undue influence or anything like that at all. Which is what is so weird. Basically, other than the 30 year old rape allegation, the women are saying he was drunk and clumsy asking them out. Who would have thought that an astrophysicist nerd with a few drinks in him would lack game when hitting on a woman?

Interesting developments. I'll await to hear findings of a formal investigation before forming an opinion. I know this is not a common thought process nowadays, but it is one I believe in.

From what I read about it a while back it sounds like he's guilty of being an awkward nerd with no game. And that's about it.

*Edit* I see jbgleason has already covered this.
