At this point it would probably be best for you if you started posting under a new username. There is no coming back from the stupidity you’ve displayed in this thread. But I’m not shocked.

Damn, Tbird. You called that one.

Whoa

You're pathetic which is why I don't like you and comment on your posts. I guess you have come to the right place to get patted on the back for the bull shite that you spew.

Im out though, yall have a good day.

I read the last two pages and haven't read on beyond this post, so that's what I am basing my comment around.

You are no different than the racist white dude whose views, when it comes to anything that race could play a factor in, are obvious because his views always comes down to him supporting the white person, even when they are in the wrong.

People are not happy this dude was killed, but it is a bit ironic that someone who was a leader within a movement that pretty much said "if you are black you need to be scared of the police because they will kill you for no reason".

Don't get me wrong, I know a black person is more likely to have a different experience with the police than a white person, but that doesn't apply everywhere. There are places all around the US, small towns, rural areas.. In which everyone knows everyone... A white cop stops a black person, realizes they know that person, gets back in their car and moves on.. Where as, if it was someone they didn't know, they would have gave them a ticket, etc.

It's because there is a much bigger white population in the US, but every year more white people are killed by police than black people.. And not every black person killed by the police was just someone the cops decided to mess with just because of their race.

The Alton Sterling situation is one that pisses people off.. Sterling wasn't shot just because he was black. The police was answering a 911 call in which someone called in and said a guy was out there waving his gun at them. That person waving around a gun ended up being someone who was a felon, was resisting arrest and was shot once it was noticed he was trying to reach for his weapon.

As a result of that. BLM protesters came down to Baton Rouge and nationally, it became a story about a white cop shooting a black man who was "just" outside selling CDs. That narative resulted in a head case from out of state to come down and target and kill (and injury) several police officers. Because in his mind, he was looking at the situation as "okay, well of those police are going to target us then I am going to go target them".

But then when people see where the majority of crime is happening, it's hard to understand why people behind BLM doesn't put that energy and resources behind a much bigger problem. Why does black lives only matter in some situations but not others?

You think down the company line and that doesn't help anyone. But you think he is saying things that you disagree with only for a pat on the back? I doubt he really cares whether or not some white people (or just people in general) on a message board is going to pat him on his back for saying something they support.

ummmmm...aren't you doing that in this thread? Saying the few who are making, what you deem, inappropriate comments and saying those comments represent everyone on this board?

Oy...I'm getting a headache.

This is crazy. I thought the removal of confederate statues were going to stop "random act of violence" in NOLA? They fooled me...
