I would have walked out when the cocky frick said that about the menu, but what sort of dude doesn't bring his wallet with him in public? Even if someone else is treating, you should always have your wallet on you.

Well we didn't get to eat because the manager told us we had to leave after we sent the food back

Anyway, so my brother and i start visiting about our jobs, but we were talking kind of loud and were using a few choice words. Anyway, this millennial hipster guy with his two little kids and his mousy wife gets up from the table next to us and comes up to tell us that our foul language is offending he and his wife and that he will go to the manager if we continue.

You admitted to being loud and cursing in front of a family and kids, why would you have any objections to them coming to tell you to STFU? Common courtesy, man.

You also never said you apologized, so it's pretty clear that you didn't apologize. And based on the rest of your details, i think it's likely you probably gave them a snide remark in the process as well.

Next thing you know, the hipster's wife gets up and goes up to the bar and talks with the bartender while pointing at us. She goes and sits back down, and then the manager comes over and tells us that we have been causing problems the entire night and that we would have to leave before he calls the police on us.
Based on the story above, there's basically a 0% chance you apologized when they first confronted you and another 0% chance you and your brother actually stopped being loud and obnoxious, so do you really blame her?

I've never once in my entire life been told to leave somewhere because of my behavior. Not saying you're in the wrong at all though.

Cities are good for food and sports, not much else.

Well, you've already got that situation, so you've got nothing to lose by spilling.

As it is now, nobody believes your story. Refusing to divulge the name of the place only makes it look even more like you're full of shite.

Cursing out loud in a sit-down restaurant?

4,500% chance you and your brother are trashy.

things not adding up

Hipsters out at dinner and they confront you about being loud???

C'mon, those d-bags would of been glued to their cell phones and not given any shits about what their kids or anyone else is doing.

Seems obvious it wasn't a hipster, it was just a dude out with his family not wanting to deal with a trashy table of dudes loudly cursing.

Assuming your waiter wasnt being a dick i probably give a pass on the margarita. Those are the rules. Assuming the dad approached you nicely I probably say I didn't see your kids and I'll keep it PG over here.

But if I got told sarcastically I should read the damn menu...it's open game.

You were absolutely, unequivocally in the wrong with regard to the use of foul language in earshot of children.

Everything else, you were well within the normal level of expectations of a restaurant.

Wait, you think it's a normal level of expectation to receive alcohol without ID?

Mind you, the OP hasn't told us how old he is. And from his posts in this thread, I think it's fair to think the best odds are that he's in his 20s.

Hey it was a long day man, and what we said wasn't anything but a few curse words

So you go to a restaurant in a shitty mood, the restaurant correctly refuses to serve you because you could not verify your age, you proceed to yell curse words across the dinning room, and now you're wondering why your experience was sub par?
