Bizarre restaurant experience

So, I'm visiting my brother in NOLA right now, and there's a new Mexican restaurant that opened up right down the street from his place so we decided we should walk over there for dinner. We walk in, get our table, and sit down. The waiter comes over, really cocky young kid, and takes our drink order. I order the margarita, and the kid cards me. However, I didn't bring my wallet with me since my brother was treating. I'm clearly of legal age, but the kid said "Rules are rules. Too bad, no id, no drink."
So the kid comes back with my water and asks for my order. I was thinking about ordering the tamales, but I wasn't sure of what came on the side, so I asked him what my options were. "You're best option is to read the menu," was his response. Now I'm really pissed, but my brother stepped in and told him that he needed to learn some respect. The kid then gave us a smug fake apology and told us our food we be right out.
Anyway, so my brother and i start visiting about our jobs, but we were talking kind of loud and were using a few choice words. Anyway, this millennial hipster guy with his two little kids and his mousy wife gets up from the table next to us and comes up to tell us that our foul language is offending he and his wife and that he will go to the manager if we continue.
After about thirty minutes, our food does come out, but it's completely cold. I tell the kid waiter that it needs to be reheated, but he disagrees and we get into an argument before he finally takes the food back to the kitchen. Next thing you know, the hipster's wife gets up and goes up to the bar and talks with the bartender while pointing at us. She goes and sits back down, and then the manager comes over and tells us that we have been causing problems the entire night and that we would have to leave before he calls the police on us. Really bizarre experience for my brother and I. Do y'all think we were in the wrong?

You sound like you live a trashy life.

Yeah. Y'all sound like assholes

We probably could have handled it better, but the kid was being very disrespectful.

Yes. You were in the wrong.

You and your brother sound like foul mouthed dickholes that need lesson in proper etiquette while in public.
On another note, I hope you didn't tip the the waiter. He sounded like a dipshit as well.

Did you order a Modelo baw?

I've got two young kids and would've probably done the same if someone was loud and cussing in front of my kids. As for the waiter, he sounds like a tool

And sounds like ... Well, you know, trashy.

Hey it was a long day man, and what we said wasn't anything but a few curse words

First, what Male leaves the house without his wallet. Why curse in public. If you were only a few blocks away, way not walk back and get your ID? Sounds like a BS story.

I disagree with your first responder.
Sound like you and your brother don't take shite from hipsters and pussy arse restaurant staff.
I like you both.

Thank you, and to everyone that thinks we were in the wrong, I sort of agree. We definitely could have handled it better, but the waiter's attitude just left a bad taste in our mouth and really threw off the whole rest of the night for us.

Yea no way I stay if they wouldn't serve me my faggy margarita

I've learned that these type of stories are rarely representative of the full story. And I'm not even saying you're necessarily lying but sometimes we don't perceive how we come across.
